Lights Camera Action

So in the tradition of stock is never good enough I have tried these mods on the AR Drone and they were actually ok!

Lights UFO BLUE lights. GREAT for night flight and it looks cool!

I tried a few of the control apps and I found the best one was “Drone Ace” this not only records the flight camera on the iPhone but it is awesome! It was $6.49  the recording is a bit jumpy and the quality is ordinary compared to a Go Pro but that is a different league of recording! I thought the hottest part of this app was the “standard maneuvers” so by hitting a button you can set the drone to spin flip, nod, etc etc! Watch the video here.

You will also need to download the “FW Flight manager” so you can update your firmware.

You will need more than one! Ten minutes is not a long time just ask your missus! You can get the stock batteries or try this.

To Upgrade Drive Gear Bearings, You will need to buy the tools too!

This ball bearing set is a direct replacement for the Ar Drone. The Ar Drone comes with 8 brass bushings (2 on each gear shaft). By replacing your bushings with this bearing set you will increase battery time and brushless motor life ( X 4). This conversion will allow your Drone to operate more efficiently. Conversion is very simple and takes around 5 minutes to complete.
